Olly Alexander is a singer and actor from Harrowgate.
Starting his music career in 2010 as the frontman of Years & Years, the band went on to have huge chart success with singles such as King and Desire, earning them the title of BBC's Sound of 2015 and a Critics Choice BRIT Award nomination. They released two studio records together before Alexander announced he would be continuing the project solo, dropping 'Night Call' in 2022 and eventually ditching the Years & Years moniker and rebranding under his own name. He is also recognised for representing the United Kingdom in 2024 with his song Dizzy, finishing in 18th place, and for his critically-acclaimed, BAFTA-nominated role as Ritchie Tozer in the Channel 4 drama It's a Sin. His next album, 'Polari', is due to arrive in February 2025. Olly Alexander is set to tour the UK, Ireland and Europe in spring 2025.
