Patti Labelle is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born in 1944, she has enjoyed over 50 successful years in the music industry, and still plies her trade to this day.

Interested in music and singing from a young age, Labelle would form her first girl-group in the late '50s, inspired by original rhythm and blues and doo-wop music. This outfit would grow into the Blue Belles, and later, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles.

Enjoying years of fame and popularity, Labelle would go onto embark on a solo career in 1977, and exploded even further - she has since sold over 50million records worldwide, been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Apollo Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters' Hall of Fame, and won two Grammys amongst various other awards.

Still doing her thing to this day - her most recent record, 'Miss Patti's Christmas', hit shelves in 2007 - LaBelle performed a one-off standalone show alongside James Ingham in London during spring 2015. If you missed out, she's back at the SSE Wembley Arena in November - get your tickets below!
