The Strokes are a rock band from New York City, New York consisting of frontman Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond, Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture and drummer Fabrizio Moretti.
Formed in 1998, the band are widely considered to be pioneers of the garage rock revival of the 2000s. They released their debut album 'Is This It' in 2001 and have since put out a further five full-length records, including their most recent serving, 2020's 'The New Abnormal.' Throughout their career, the band have remained enormously impactful on some of the scene's biggest acts, with the likes of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand citing them as influences. They have been awarded some of the most prestigious honours in music, including an ASCAP College Vanguard Award, a BRIT and a Grammy, among many others. The Strokes are set to headline All Point East on August 25, 2023, with special guests Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girl In Red, Amyl & The Sniffers, Angel Olsen, Black Midi and more. That same month, they'll appear at Rock En Seine festival in Paris, headline Denver's Red Rocks Amphitheatre and play New York's Forest Hills Stadium.
