EMA Announces May Headline Tour & Great Escape Festival Appearance

EMA has announced a Spring 2012 UK headline tour, including a stop off at Brighton’s Great Escape festival.

Last year’s Great Escape saw Erika M Anderson and her band become the talk of the festival, putting in an extra last minute show due to popular demand.

Since then she has toured the world; released her debut album ‘Past Life Martyred Saints’ which charted in just about every end of year poll, baffled critics with her surprise 7” single ‘Angelo’ featuring rapper Mz'Gorjis, and moved us all on Valentine’s Day last month with digital single ‘Take One Two’. The latter single was accompanied by a personal video of a young Erika and her friends with all proceeds being donated to anti-bullying charity The Jamie Isaacs Foundation.

This year she returns to Brighton to headline Uncut’s stage at The Great Escape, amidst her biggest solo UK headline tour so far. The shows are her first UK live dates since her short co-headline tour with label mate Zola Jesus at the tail end of 2012.

EMA 2012 UK Tour Dates are as follows:

May 9th - Leeds Brudnel Social
May 10th - Nottingham Bodega
May 11th - Manchester Night and Day
May 12th - Brighton The Great Escape (Uncut Stage)
May 15th - London Scala
