Lil Uzi Vert Pulls Out Of Reading And Leeds Line Up

Tuesday, 20 August 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Lil Uzi Vert has pulled out of Reading and Leeds.

Organisers confirmed the news via social media, while also announcing some other timetable changes: "Due to unforeseen circumstances Lil Uzi Vert is no longer able to perform at Reading 2019. Because of the short notice, Enter Shikari will now take this slot on the Main Stage. Yungblud will play later and SWMRS will move from the Festival Republic Stage to the Main Stage."

First staged in 1961, Reading is the original of the two festivals and is the world's oldest popular music festival still in existence. The line ups always guarantee a diverse range of acts, including the finest in rock, punk, indie, metal, and more recently electronic artists and rap, from around the world.

The festival is spread across numerous stages—including the main stage, BBC Radio 1 stage, the Lock Up, the Festival Republic Stage and the Alternative Stage—while 2018's headliners were Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Panic! At The Disco and Kings of Leon.

What? A twin site, three-day festival that hosts an eclectic line up, ranging from the best in rock to the top acts in rap, and everything in between.

Where? Richfield Avenue, Reading and Bramham Park, Leeds.

When? August 23-25.

Who? Headlining the weekend are Foo Fighters, the 1975, Twenty One Pilots and Post Malone, while also set to appear are Bastille, the Distillers, Not3s, Sundara Karma, Denis Sulta, the Amazons, Yungblud, Juice Wrld, Pale Waves, Camelphat, Hayley Kiyoko, Bowling For Soup, Blossoms, Billie Eilish, Stefflon Don, PVRIS, Royal Blood, Charli XCX, Chvrches, Enter Shikari, Fredo, AJ Tracey, Gunna, Lil Baby, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, You Me At Six, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, A Day To Remember, the Maine, Against The Current, Circa Waves, the Hunna, the Wombats, the Japanese House, No Rome, Crucast, G Flip, Dave, Counterfeit, Mayday Parade, Milk Teeth, Machine Gun Kelly, Sea Girls, King Princess, DJ Dillon Francis, Dimension, Ghostemane, Of Mice & Men, Pip, Blood Youth, Hot Milk, FIDLAR, Mabel, Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers, NAV, Picture This, Kim Petras, YBN Nahmir, Queen Zee, the LaFontaines, Barny Fletcherand, Palaye Royale, and Plague Vendor, among others. Head below for the full line up and day splits.

Transgressive Records will takeover the Friday night in Reading, and Saturday and Sunday in Leeds, bringing exclusive live sets, DJ slots and other birthday surprises to the Alternative Stage from 9.30pm until late.

Friday at Reading will feature DJ battles from BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders and indie-rockers Circa Waves, who will join the party after their set on the BBC Radio 1 Stage earlier that day. Other DJs will also be spinning, pitted against each other in who can get the biggest sing-alongs.

Transgressive also bring Mystery Jets to Leeds on the Saturday night of the festival, along with Let’s Eat Grandma, with Steel Banglez set to play on the Sunday night. Transgressive Soundsystem will be behind the decks once more, while there will also be a Beyoncé vs Drake DJ party on Sunday night, hosted by Bless and Superhero DJs.
