Dallas Green has shared a new City and Colour song.
Strangers is the second track to be lifted from the Alexisonfire guitarist and vocalist's upcoming solo album, which is due out this autumn through his own Still Records, an imprint of Dine Alone Records. The first was Astronaut.
Whereas in that first cut Green sang that his heart was "wide awake", the new one finds it "still and asleep". What the tracks do share, though, is their emotive composition and impeccable vocal performance by Green, whose range is clearly still diverse. He said:
“‘Strangers’ is about how you will never truly know another human being. You’ll never really understand what it’s like to be inside someone else’s brain or heart. So, we need to appreciate the differences. If we do, maybe we can live better with one another.”
City and Colour will perform at US festivals this summer and has a North American tour in the diary for the fall. Tickets are on sale now.
