Tom Jones and Grace Jones To Headline New Hideaway Festival In Chelmsford

The inaugural Hideaway Festival will take place this summer in Chelmsford.
The multi-day event will deliver big name headliners, as well as showcasing rising talent, across three stages — The Hideaway Stage, aka main stage, The Den Stage and The Retreat Stage. It also offers family fun for those wanting to bring along budding festival goers and music fans. Organiser Roy Trickett said:
"Hideaway Festival has been in the planning process for 2 years and I felt that there was a need and a gap in the market for Essex. We’ve worked hard to create a festival that is friendly to all with a relaxing and entertaining vibe perfect for families. This is a labour of love that we can’t wait to show off this August.
"Split between three stage areas, the Main Stage being more Soulful, The Den Stage focusing on Jazz and lastly the Retreat Stage focusing on Blues - there’s a truly a whole range to explore at Hideaway. We are delighted that Tom Jones, Grace Jones, Macy Gray and Beverley Knight to name but a few will all be joining us for our inaugural weekend, bringing some incredible performances that I know we’ll be talking about for years to come. See you all there!"

When? August 14 - 16.
Who? Tom Jones will headline The Hideaway Stage on the Saturday and Grace Jones (pictured) the Sunday, while also set to appear are Beverley Knight, Sinead Harnett, Macy Gray and Brooklyn Funk Essentials. The Den Stage will see sets from Caravan Palace, Ezra Collective, James Taylor Quartet, and KOKOROKO. The Retreat Stage, meanwhile, has confirmed performances by Eric Bibb, the Blues Band, Big Daddy Wilson, and Maggie Bell and Dave Kelly. Norman Jay MBE will also host a campers only opening party on the Friday night. More acts are still to be announced.
Tickets? Weekend and day tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 20.
