Pixies Confirm O2 Academy Edinburgh Show For August, Share New Song Human Crime

Pixies have announced a summer gig in Scotland.
The legendary Boston alt-rock band will play the O2 Academy Edinburgh on August 3, with tickets on general sale at 9am on March 4. Support will come from The Slow Readers Club.
The show will take place ahead of their previously confirmed concerts at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Bandstand, as part of the city's Summer Nights At The Bandstand series, and rescheduled shows at Newcastle's Live From Times Square and Bingley Weekender. They also have a rearranged run of Irish shows in the diary for July.
Accompanying the news, the group have shared their first new single in two years as a digital-exclusive single, Human Crime. Led by a driving bassline which builds to a big chorus, it arrives paired with a video directed by Pixies bassist Paz Lenchantin, filmed at the abandoned San Pedro abandoned bunkers and Santa Monica's Gold Diggers Bar. Lenchantin said:
"The storyline is loosely based on an inside joke between Charles and me about going on tour. How we go through a door from our reality state into the altered state of becoming and being a Pixie."
Their last album was 2019's 'Beneath The Eyrie', which they followed up with two companion EPs, 'Beneath The Eyrie Demos: Pt. 1' and 'Beneath The Eyrie Demos: Pt. 2'.
