John Butler Trio is an Australian funk and alternative band hailing from Fremantle that were formed in 1998 by John Butler, the only consistent member. Despite numerous line up shuffles, Butler and Co have managed to carve a successful career and pick up multiple awards.
Butler independently released a self-titled LP back in 1998, and soon found recognition locally. It wasn’t long before the band were in the charts, and in 2004 they managed to top them with their third full-length effort, ‘Sunrise Over the Sea’. John Butler Trio's last studio album was 2018's 'Home'. Due to COVID-19, John Butler has rescheduled his solo European tour, including his show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, to summer 2022. Best Concert Ever

The John Butler Trio performed to a packed audience who stood up all night for every song! His delivery of Oceans was the highlight of the evening. The media crew displayed a close up on the big screen of John's hands while he played this song. Nothing short of phenomenal! He touched and strummed that guitar like he was making love to it. If you pass up a chance to see this band perform in person, you are missing out on one of the most memorable evenings of your life!
