Starting his music career in 1982, he formed Lloyd Cole and The Commotions who went on to release three albums—all of which reached the top 20 on the UK's Official Albums Chart—before disbanding in 1989. From there, he launched his solo career with a self-titled debut album in 1990, and has now released 12 albums over the course of his career – the latest being 2023's 'On Pain'. Lloyd Cole has announced UK tours for both September 2024 and January 2025, where he'll be playing two sets per night.
