The Moldy Peaches are an American indie-rock band that formed in 1994 by Adam Green and Kimya Dawson in New York.
Originally a duo, they later expanded into a six-piece live band with Brent Cole, Jack Dishel, Toby Goodshank, and Steven Mertens. In 2001, they released their self-titled debut album, 'The Moldy Peaches', followed in 2003 by a second album called 'Moldy Peaches 2000', a double CD compilation of various scraps and live recordings. After an extensive headline tour of the United States in the winter of 2003, the band went into hiatus in early 2004, reuniting occasionally for one-off shows and impromptu sets before announcing their return in 2022. The Moldy Peaches will return to the UK in May 2023, marking their first European gig in 20 years. They'll also headline Brooklyn Steel in August.
