The announcement was made to fans attending the first night of the grime superstar's Heavy Is The Head Tour in Cardiff yesterday (March 13), with a video showing behind-the-scenes studio snippets of the 28-year-old recording the forthcoming project. It concluded with confirmation that the currently untitled full-length will arrive later in 2022.
As a "personal gesture of gratitude to his loyal and supportive fans who have waited almost two years for the UK shows", a press statement reveals fans attending the UK shows will be given the first opportunity to pre-order the record. To order it, head to the merch stand at a venue and pick up a QR-coded lanyard,
Further details are to be revealed in due course. Stormzy's second LP, the Mercury Prize-nominated 'Heavy Is The Head', was released in 2019. The rescheduled accompanying tour continues tomorrow (March 15) in Newcastle, and includes three consecutive nights at London's O2 Arena later this month.
