Mike Shinoda has released a new single.
Following a number of cryptic teasers, Already Over opens a new chapter for the Linkin Park musician, who wrote, recorded, sang and performed every instrument on the track.
Offering power chords, crashing percussion, and hooky vocals, it follows his spring single, In My Head featuring Kailee Morgue, which appeared on the soundtrack for the film Scream VI. Commenting on the new song, he revealed:
"Already Over came to me as I was sitting with my favourite guitar in my hands – the same guitar I used on songs from What I’ve Done to In My Head. There was a familiar DNA to the song that I think Linkin Park fans will recognise. For me, it creates a bridge from the past to a blurry but exciting future."
Earlier this year, Linkin Park released a 20th anniversary edition of 'Meteora', which featured seven previously unreleased songs, including Lost and Fighting Myself.
