Meat Puppets have got the old band back together.
The original line up of brothers Cris and Curt Kirkwood and drummer Derrick Bostrom reunited following their 2017 Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame performance to record 'Dusty Notes', their first album together since 1995's 'No Joke!'.
The record will arrive on March 8 through Megaforce Records and also features musical contributions from keyboardist Ron Stabinsky and Curt's son Elmo on guitar. Tour dates in support of the album are expected to be announced soon and take place in 2019.
Bostrom said:
“The band has been a really, really deep font of creativit. Love it or hate it, hit or miss, Curt is just prodigious. They are still living the rock lifestyle; they’re not doing it by half measures. They stayed on the road. These guys are uncompromising. I consider the Meat Puppets to be a national treasure.”
