Marika Hackman Releases New Single The One From Upcoming LP 'Any Human Friend'

Marika Hackman has shared a new single.
The One is the second cut from the London-based singer-songwriter’s forthcoming LP, ‘Any Human Friend’, and takes on indie-pop sensibilities with a charming harmony-focused melody in the verses.
It's accompanied by some less charming, but equally as powerful lyrics — like “you’re such an attention whore” and “all you fuckers want my dick” — and does have a catchy chorus that makes use of looping, washed-out vocals and an earworm of a guitar riff.
Hackman supports her third record, due on August 9, with tour dates across the UK and US this autumn. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £15.95 including fees.
