Manic Street Preachers frontman James Dean Bradfield has released two tracks from upcoming solo project.
The Welsh singer-songwriter’s new album is due later this year and is inspired by the tragic torture and death of Chilean teacher, musician and political activist Victor Jara.
His second work away from Manic Street Preachers, following 2006’s ‘The Great Western’, was recorded and produced by Bradfield himself. Welsh poet and playwright Patrick Jones, brother of Manics bassist Nicky Wire, wrote the project's lyrics.
The ominous There’ll Come A War is a brooding track that perfectly encapsulates the mood of unavoidable, incoming conflict. Seeking The Room With The Three Windows, on the other hand, is an energetic instrumental with hints of South American guitar flourishes during its climactic climax.
