The track serves as the opener of the 69-year-old's upcoming album, 'The Bridge', due out on November 19 through UMC/Polydor.
Following the previously unveiled lead single If It's Love, the rock number is driven by a steady beat and switches between moments of sparse instrumentation and a rich chorus with layered vocals. Sting said:
"The song Rushing Water is a fitting start to an album that seeks to bridge all of the petty differences that can separate us.
Sting will play the first of two consecutive gigs in Athens tonight (September 30). He'll launch his My Songs: The Las Vegas Residency on October 29 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
In April 2022, he'll perform six shows at the London Palladium, followed a by a return to Las Vegas in the summer. Tickets are on sale now.
